I had surgeries for severe spasticity (baclofen pump) but failed 4 times.
Despites of 4 times ITB(baclofen pump) surgeries, there're no ways to cure to CSF(cerebrospinal fluid) leakage in South Korean hospitals and doctors.(I live in south korea.)
I'm still suffering CSF leaks.
I feel pain extremely when CSF leaks or felt just about to leaks. Especially my head and back. Also my right wrist and hand.(it's really odd)
I've decided to remove ITB(baclofen pump) because of those reasons but I have severe spasticity and dystonic movements from cerebral palsy.
The doctor who operated the surgeries and my physical therapist said if I removed ITB, my spasticity may will be more increased and may need to take a lot of medications for managing my spasticity and dystonic movements.
So, they strongly recommended to me to use a standing power chair for decreasing and managing my severe spasticity and dystonic movements.
But there's an issue.
South korean public medical insurance is not bad. Therefore, I don't much worry about ITB removal surgery.
But there are no private insurance systems for people with disability in south korea.
It's really unfair and makes me frustrated.
As I know, there are private insurance systems for people with disability in the U.S.
But there is no such insurance system in south korea.
I need a standing power wheelchair desperately for the rest of my life. but the wheelchair price is over $40,000.
I don't have not enough the money for buy it.
Please support and help my life!
In advance, thanks for your helping and supporting me!
