Hello world,
Hope this finds all well. We are looking forward to supporting queer communities in east Africa especially asylum seeker from Uganda who are continuing to flee having passed the anti gay bill which criminalizes being gay and the punishments are death penalty and life imprisonment. We are raising funds to support all LGBTQIA’s from Uganda and other east African countries to Kenya kakuma refugee camp for protection under UNHCR and Kenya government .

We are highly discriminated to that extent that we can’t have work to do so that we can earn. We keep our heads high hopping for a better world because we have our fellow queers that can’t let us starve. Help and support our campaign, we are 236 in number and 60 of this number are children.

We left Uganda after being persecuted by homophobic communities. I personally lost my boyfriend who was killed back in 2020. I was brutalized and beaten, got a chance to run to Kenya hopping for better days but unfortunately am in pain. I passed via Red Cross Kitale and then brought to Kakuma camp. We had a collective voice of about 580 lgbtiqa folks from the camp and UNHCR did not listen to our problems. We did not get a chance of being given safety we hoped for. UNHCR says they try there level best to help lgbtiqa refugees from Kenya with food per month of 1kg of rice. This is not enough and so we need a supplementary food support.

We are attacked by other refugees and stabbed with knives. Our houses are being set on blaze because homophobes here say we do not deserve to live but we deserve death. They have killed our friends here for being trans and gay, the Kenyan police also killed a 5 months old baby when we went to UNHCR compound to ask them for protection. They set a blaze on our friends and one of the trans activist lost her life. We are human kind and the believers of God say we are also created from the God’s image. So many of our brothers and sister have been stitched on the heads, back and other parts after being cut by homophobic Sudanese and other homophobes from camp. Our medical emergency has increased because we sleep outside with no shelter to coverup all the lgbtiqa refugees in our community, it’s only the lesbians and children that occupy the shelter. The rest of us sleep outside trying and that keeps us alert about the people intending to attack us in the course of the night. Even the little housing on the compound has been burnt down by homophobes, Imagine when it rains.

We continue to seek help and support from all queer brothers and sisters from all corners of the world. We need to stick together to win. Remember your donation counts and it surely changes the lives of the needy lgbtiqa from Kenya however small you think it could be. We struggle to get food, medicine sanitary for lesbians and necessities for children.
My call to action is that let’s fight this violence together, let’s support one another because if we don’t, no one will support us as queer folks.
I plead to all able private sponsors to help and privately sponsor some of the lgbtiqa people from Kenya Kakuma camp. Reach out to my email, [email protected]for more info and above email is also our PayPal address.
We also think of building an iron sheet fence and that could increase some safety and reduce the attacks from homophobic Neighbors. We are also looking forward to getting a solar system that can help us with security lights at night, it will help us to identify who exactly attacked us.

We propose the fence to take about $5000 and solar system about $1000.

We continue to strive as our slogan stand, “Transforming lives of all queer people in Africa”

LET LOVE AND SOLIDA PREVAIL
